The precipitation of strontium in highly concentrated nitric acid is often used standard radiochemical methods for 90Sr separation. In this work, the description Sr behavior such conditions was studied point speciation simulation. Standard method based on Phreeqc software considered but two problems underlined limits approach to study process: inappropriate ionic strength correction model (for I > 10 M) and particular dissociation acid.
